Most vehicle inspections end up in a dealership, a repair shop between customer jobs, or a parking lot. Midwest VITAL is a dedicated facility in Carlyle, Illinois built so attorneys, insurers, experts and fleets have a proper place to inspect a vehicle.
Indoor bays, vehicle lifts, diagnostic equipment and work space give every party what they need to examine and document the same vehicle on the same day.
Passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, buses and RVs welcome. One case per day, so the facility is yours for the inspection.

Midwest VITAL isn’t a repair shop, body shop or storage lot. The building exists for scheduled inspections, testing and documentation, so there are no customer jobs competing for space and no pressure to rush. It sits in Carlyle, Illinois, about 60 miles east of St. Louis and between Interstates 70 and 64, so parties and vehicles can reach it from across the region without driving into a major city.

The vehicle is inspected indoors, out of the weather and away from the public, under consistent lighting with electrical power and compressed air close by. The bay is reserved for one case per day, so the vehicle stays staged for the scheduled inspection and every party works under the same conditions from start to finish.

Many disputes are decided underneath the vehicle. Lifts let experts and adjusters see the undercarriage, brakes, steering, suspension, exhaust and frame clearly, take photographs and measurements, and document condition that can’t be seen from the floor. When the agreed protocol calls for it, staff and tools are available to remove components at an additional cost.

Diagnostic equipment on site lets parties scan systems, read stored data and test components during the inspection instead of arranging it separately. Findings can be documented alongside photographs and measurements, then compared against repair records, maintenance history and manufacturer information.

Vehicles come in for a scheduled inspection and can arrive the evening before so the day starts on time. Once the inspection is complete, the vehicle must be picked up within 24 hours. Midwest VITAL is not a storage facility, so arrival and removal are planned with the parties before the vehicle is brought in.

The facility holds three passenger vehicles side by side, a car and a tractor-trailer together, or one RV at a time. Trucking companies, fleets, insurers and attorneys can bring commercial trucks, buses and motorhomes indoors for inspection, and multiple vehicles from the same case can be examined together.

Inspection days involve attorneys, adjusters, experts and representatives working side by side. Participant sign-in, work tables, photography areas and Wi-Fi give each party room to take notes, review records, photograph components and share findings without working off a tailgate.
